STEP 2: SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING APPLICANT REFERENCES AND REPORT

Three letters of recommendation are required. When you give the forms to the student's teachers, please include an envelope addressed to the RMA Admissions Office so they may mail the forms directly to Riverside, or provide information for the teachers to send the recommendation via fax or e-mail. Applicant references must be completed in or translated in English. Please include:

  • Recommendation letter from the applicant's current principal or counselor of his current school.
  • Recommendation letter from the applicant's current Mathmatics teacher.
  • Recommendation letter from the applicant's current English teacher.
  • Discipline report (if applicable).

STEP 3: REQUEST APPLICANT'S TRANSCRIPTS

Please give the Request Transcript Form to your Principal, School Head, or Guidance Counselor. The transcript should include grades for the two years prior to your application as well as from the first semester of the current school year. Please mail or submit the transcript and school report to the Admissions Office after the first semester of the current school year. You may request that the school mail this information directly to Riverside's Admissions Office. A completed application must have an official school transcript in English. A non-English official school transcript may be submitted as long as a secondary translation follows.

TOEFL, SLEP and SSAT test scores are not required; however, please submit results if they are available.

STEP 4: REVIEW OF COMPLETED APPLICATION

After the required information is received and reviewed by the Riverside Admissions Committee, a decision will be made. If the applicant is accepted, an Enrollment packet and contract, along with a SEVIS I-20 document, will be mailed to the applicant. A copy of the student's passport should accompany the application to verify that the name on the passport matches the name on the I-20. The enrollment contract should be returned to Riverside as quickly as possible.

It typically takes two to four months after the applicant receives his Riverside acceptance papers to gain an interview at his consulate office to obtain a Visa through the U.S. Embassy. The applicant is required to submit the I-20 document when applying for the visa.

Testing

All international students who receive an acceptance will be required to take an English proficiency test administered by Riverside once the cadet is on campus.
